Filter Brush

Sarlo Pond Brushes feature bristles that, when intertwined, allow for excellent flow through the gaps while mechanically trapping large amounts of coarse debris, acting as a sieve. To achieve this, our brushes come in 2 mesh types: a coarser one for large particles such as leaves, bird feathers, grass, etc., and another with denser bristles that trap fish waste and other smaller particles.

Compared to other filter media, these brushes provide significantly higher flow rates, reaching over 40 m³/h within 0.5 m³ of intertwined brushes. The intertwining ratio used in this case is 6 brushes of 23 cm diameter per linear meter of filter wall.

Our brushes measure 45 cm high x 23 cm in diameter and were specifically designed to meet the filtration needs of ornamental ponds; they are not adaptations of brushes made for other purposes.
